Alice Audrey Kranov

Alice Audrey Kranov, 100, of Walnut, Il. died Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Allure of Walnut.

Audrey was born July 25,1925, in Lee County to Wayne and Loretta Alshouse.

Survivors include three daughters, Paula (Neil) Ely, of Crossville TN, Sue (Ron) Drinan, of Chicago, and Faye O’Neil, of Walnut; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Edward Trabelot; one son, Wayne Trabelot; two brothers Alan Ross Alshouse and Louis Alshouse, and her second husband, Laverne Kranov.

Audrey graduated from Augustana Hospital Nursery Training in 1944, and she was always thrilled when a new baby arrived in the family.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Walnut Cemetery. Pastor David Poust of the United Methodist Church is officiating, where she was a lifetime member.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walnut Fire Department or the Walnut United Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank her caregivers at Allure, and her special friends Yvonne and Carol McMullen.
