Arlene L. Henrikson

Arlene Lenore Henrikson, 89, of Walnut, died on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at her home.

Arlene was born April 25, 1936, in Chicago, the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy (Bremer) Koeller. She married Eugene “Gene” Henrikson on June 30, 1956, in Chicago. Arlene and Gene would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary together this year. She enjoyed needle tatting and even taught classes for others to learn. Arlene and Gene would travel together demonstrating their talents. While Gene was doing blacksmith work, she would share her needle tatting with the ladies.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Henrikson, of Walnut; one sister, Ila Mae Bosso, of St. Charles; two grandchildren; and friend, Heidi Sandler.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Edwin Henrikson; one sister, Leona Nelson and one brother, Kenneth Koeller.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
