Beverly J. Anderson, 81, of Walnut, IL passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, at Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City, IL.

Beverly was born June 30, 1941, in Sterling, IL the daughter of Eldon and Helen (Tarner) Beattie.  She married W. Marvin Anderson on August 27, 1960, in Sterling, IL.

Marvin and Bev farmed near Coleta, IL before moving to Walnut in 1971.  Beverly retired from CGH in Sterling.  Beverly was a member of Walnut United Methodist Church.  She loved being outdoors, flower gardening, birdwatching, and mowing the yard.  She especially enjoyed having her kids and grandkids close by and hosting family get togethers around the holidays and the 4th of July.  She also enjoyed family vacations to Florida, The Grand Canyon, Alaska, Germany, and Sweden

Beverly is survived by her husband, children, Doug of Paxton, Kim (Doug) Johnson of Washington, Jeff of Paxton, and Diane of Paxton, 3 grandchildren, Ross (Hannah) Johnson of Nolensville, TN, Ryan Johnson & Haley-Schlecht-Johnson of Millstadt, IL, and Reid Johnson of Dallas, TX, 1 great grandchild, Isla James Johnson, and a sister Ruth Allen of Owatonna, MN.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia (Carl) Gustafson and 3 brothers Bob (Karla) Beattie, Sam (Bev) Beattie, and Dick (Alberta) Beattie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 11:00am – 12:30pm with funeral services to follow at 12:30 at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, IL.  Burial will follow at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Sterling, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walnut United Methodist Church.
