Bill Jamison, age 78, of Walnut, died Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Heritage Health in Walnut.
Bill was born November 10, 1942 in Danville the son of John and Margaret (Jones) Jamison. He owned and operated Longfield-Gugerty-Jamison Insurance Company in Walnut for many years. Bill was very active in the community where he was a member of the Walnut Community Club, Walnut Chamber of Commerce, the Walnut Rotary Club and was a former member of the Walnut Masonic Lodge. He attended the Walnut Community Bible Church. Bill enjoyed helping with the Walnut Days 4th of July celebration, playing Santa Claus at Christmastime and playing his weekly card game with the guys.
He is survived by his daughter, Beth (Roy) Goetsch of Walnut; his son, Randy (Andrea) Jamison of Walnut; one sister, Connie (Richard) Durfee of MA; eight grandchildren, Brent (Terri) Jamison, Heidi (Adam) Franklin, Heather Jamison, Jaimie (Ryan) Rosenthal, Jessie (Chance) Blumhorst, Autumn (Jake) Goldsmith, Ariel (Connor) Young and Cheyenne Goetsch; and ten great grandchildren. Bill is also survived by his children’s mother, Sandy Jamison of Humble, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cindy Nelson.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, all memorials will be donated to this year’s 4th of July celebration.
