Billy G. Waterhouse, age 98, of Princeton, died Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Allure of Walnut.
Billy was born December 24, 1924 in Dixon, the son of Thomas and Grace (Fisher) Waterhouse. He served in the US Army during WWII and later married Ada Johnson on December 12, 1948 in Malden. She preceded him in death on September 15, 2019. Billy was an officer with the Illinois State Police for 30 years and was a member of the First Christian Church in Walnut.
He is survived by one daughter, Susan (Dick) Reed of Sterling; two sons, James (Lisa) Waterhouse of Walnut and Tom (Olga) Waterhouse of Davenport, IA; eight grandchildren, Jeremey, Jenny, Jill, Katie, Chad, Justin, Kristen, and Brittney; and ten great grandchildren, Madison, Cody, Charlie, Carter, Willa, Ava, Sophie, Lilah, Emelia, and Conner.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one son, David; and one great grandchild, Grace.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM with Reverend William Haas officiating. Burial with Illinois State Police honors and military honors will be at Walnut Cemetery.
