Bonnie L Neahring Obituary

Bonnie L. Neahring, 88, of Princeton, formerly of Walnut, died on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Liberty Village of Princeton. Bonnie was born September 21, 1935, in Walnut, the daughter of Glen and Marjorie (Britt) Hardersen. She married Lyle E. Neahring on January 24, 1954, in Walnut. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1998. Bonnie was a member of First Christian Church of Walnut, where she taught Sunday School for 20 years, and served as treasurer for 15 years.


Survivors include one daughter, Pamela (Ralph) Hodges, of Edelstein; one son, Gary (Sandra) Neahring, of DeKalb; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Doris (William) Neahring.


Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.


Cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00am, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. Graveside service will be held immediately following at Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery near New Bedford.


Memorials may be made to honor Bonnie’s legacy to the Illinois School for the Deaf, 125 S Webster Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650, or to First Christian Church of Walnut.
