Channing M. Swertfeger

Channing M. Swertfeger, 14 of Tampico died Thursday March 28, 2024.

He was born on December 14, 2009 in Florence, SC the son of Adam M. and Kara R. (Ribordy) Swertfeger and in 8th grade at Prophetstown Middle School. Channing was active in baseball, basketball, and track with the Erie Prophetstown Panthers and participated in the traveling baseball team. Channing enjoyed gaming and hanging out with his friends. He loved animals, especially his dogs Harley and Kaiser.

Survivors include his parents, Adam and Kara; his sister Tinley and brother Braylon; maternal grandparents Dan and Lynetta Ribody; paternal grandmother Tina Colley; aunts: Nichelle Harris, Kelly (Chuck) Hall, Katie (Kim) Baxter; uncles: Chris (Beth) Swertfeger and Shawn Ribordy and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers Tollie Colley and John Swertfegher..

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 3, 2024 from 4-7 PM at the Prophetstown Middle School in Prophetstown. Private family services will be held on Thursday.
