Charlotte A. Neahring, age 86, of Walnut, died Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Citadel of Sterling.

          Charlotte was born April 25, 1940 in Prophetstown, IL, the daughter of Louis and Thelma (Howell) Fisher.  She married Larry Neahring on October 5, 1957.  Charlotte was a homemaker and was also a member of the New Bedford Christian Church.

          She is survived by her husband, Larry Neahring of Walnut; two daughters, Debra (Randy) Steele of Walnut and Jo Thome of Rock Falls; one sister, Maxine Sugars of New Bedford; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Laeth Neahring; and one brother-in-law, Larry Sugars.

          A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.  The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Troy Campbell of the New Bedford Christian Church officiating.  Burial will be at Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery in New Bedford.

          A memorial has been established.
