Christine H. Flanigan

Christine H. Flanigan, 58 of rural Walnut passed away Friday November 7, 2025 at Rock River Hospice & Home.

She was born on September 19, 1967 in Freeport the daughter of Robert Douglas and Cecilia (Plum) Gloden. She attended school in Freeport. Christine married George Flanigan on November 27, 1999 in Dekalb. Christine loved going boating and time spent with family and her dogs.

Her survivors include her mother, Cecilia Gloden of Freeport;  husband, George; her daughters: Julia Flanigan (Brice Becker) of Bernard, IA and Olivia Flanigan (Daniel Gibson) of Indianapolis; step daughter Melody Flanigan (TJ Bialas) of Rochelle; two step grandchildren: Madisyn and Myranda.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Gloden; her grandparents: Cecil (Jean) Plum, Orland (Helen) Gloden.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Thursday November 13, 2025 from noon – 1 PM at the Walnut United Methodist Church, Walnut, IL. The memorial service will follow at 1 PM. Following the memorial service, there will be a luncheon held at the church.  Arrangements entrusted to Garland Funeral Home, Walnut.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the Walnut United Methodist Church
