Obituary

WALNUT- David D. Dietz, age 61, died Monday, June 26, 2023 at KSB Hospital in Dixon.

            David was born on October 1, 1961 in Sterling the son of Harold and Aletha (Blocher) Dietz.  He was employed as a Truck Driver with River Valley CO-OP.  David was a member of the Walnut Community Bible Church in Walnut. He loved spending time with family, friends and church.  David enjoyed telling stories, gardening, fishing, driving and football.

            Survivors include, four daughters, Danielle (Jeremy) Toms of Dixon, Andrea (Timothy) Pratt of Dixon, Ashley (Joshua) Ryckman of Blythwood, SC and Amber Dietz of Princeton; one son, David Dietz, Jr. of Princeton; two sisters, Mary (Tom) Parrot of Fruitland, IA and Diane (Dave) Schoenholz of Dixon; four brothers, Mike (Sally) Dietz of Winder, GA, Joe (Carol) Dietz of Walnut, Jim (Anita) Dietz of San Antonio, TX and John Dietz of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren, Jayden, Lydia and Hazel Toms, Taylor, and Sadie Pratt, Silas, Myla and Nikko Ryckman.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Wilma Paris.

            Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Walnut Community Church.  Funeral services at 11:00 AM with Reverend Eldon Cook officiating.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.  Arrangements were completed by the Garland Funeral Home, Walnut.

            In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
