Delores "Carol" Hassler Obituary

Carol Hassler, 73 of New Bedford, died Tuesday January 23, 2018 at Manor Court in Princeton. She was born on December 23, 1944 in Tampico, the daughter of Clifford and Lulu (Rasmussen) Thompson. She married Robert Hassler on March 31, 1973 at the New Bedford Christian Church. She was a CNA for 33 years; worked at the former Peerless Level in Walnut form 1973 -1979 and also was employed at the New Bedford Post Office for about 7 years. Survivors include her husband Robert; daughter Kathy Hassler of New Bedford; three sisters: Peggy (David) Hassler of Walnut, Joyce Lauritzen of Tampico and Susan Newman of Tampico; two brothers: Ned (Renie) Thompson of Tampico and Daniel (Bonnie) Thompson of Princeton; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and one sister in infancy. Visitation will be held on Friday January 26, 2018 from 9 - 11 AM and the funeral at 11 AM at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut with the Reverend Brian Moore, pastor of the New Bedford Christian Church officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Cemetery. Visitation: Garland Funeral Home, Walnut, Illinois, Friday, January 26, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 A.M. Service: Garland Funeral Home, Walnut, Illinois, Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.
