Diana Lynn (Franks) Anderson

Diana Lynn Anderson, age 74, died Saturday, June 17, 2023 at her home.

Diana was born on April 5, 1949 in Spring Valley, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald R. and Irene M. (Sandretto) Franks. She was a United States Navy Veteran and served during the Vietnam Conflict from 1967-1970. She married Wesley Anderson on May 13, 1999 at the Community Church of Christ in Rock Falls. Diana was a homemaker and prepared taxes for family and friends. She loved people, her pets, and any animal. She was an active member of her church, Liberty Baptist in Rock Falls. 

Survivors include her husband, Wes O. Anderson of Deer Grove; her sister, Susan Franks of Sterling; four step-children, Meichelle Phelps of Prophetstown, Wesley D. Anderson of Prophetstown, Tirzah (Dusty) Renkes of Prophetstown, and Adam I. J. Anderson of Tampico; eight grandchildren, Noah Anderson, Mischa Anderson, Ayden Anderson, Violet Anderson, Wynn Renkes, Laken Renkes, Emma Anderson, and Manny Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gerald R. Franks.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from Noon-1:30 PM at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Tommy McMurtry officiating. Burial with Military Honors will conclude at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown. 

A memorial will be established in her memory.
