BLOOMINGTON – Dolores J. Wilt, age 94, formerly of Walnut died Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Martin Health Center in Bloomington.
Dolores was born on August 31, 1928 in Spring Valley the daughter of Gershom and Jane (Condie) Swanson. She married Gerald Wilt on February 15, 1948 in Walnut. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2003. Dolores was a member of Walnut United Methodist Church, former Cub Scout Den Mother, Walnut Woman’s Club, Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and was a librarian at the Walnut Public Library. She was active with the Bradenton Florida Church Choir while living in Florida. She was a farm wife and provided wonderful meals to family working on the farm during harvest and planting seasons.
Survivors include one daughter, Nadine (Mike) Prall of Bloomington; two sons, Ronald (Jeanne) Wilt and Marc (Deanna) Wilt both of Walnut; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kyle, Eric, Craig, Randall, Andrea, Brandon, Jason and Suzanne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Delbert Swanson; one granddaughter, Kristen Wilt; one great grandson, Bryant Pruett.
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Walnut United Methodist Church in Walnut. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Reverend David Poust officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Cemetery. Arrangements were completed by the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
