Donna Manak

Walnut – Donna Manak, age 84 passed away at Heritage Health in Walnut on December 29, 2020 due to complications of Covid-19

She was born on July 7, 1936 in Sterling, the daughter of Edward and Genevieve (Pyse) Fritz.

She married the late James Manak of Berwyn, IL on July 20, 1957 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libertyville.

She enjoyed many careers in her lifetime, most notably as Activity Director for Walnut Manor from 1974 – 2004. After retirement she remained active in the community for several years.

Her true loves were family, friends, faith, pets and nature. She was also an avid reader.

She is survived by her children: Lynn Manak (Tom Gebarowski) of Beach Park, IL, Steven (Angela) Manak of Nevada, TX and Laura Manak of Walnut; her grandchildren: Brandon (Tessa) Manak, Chelsea Manak, Ciara (Stephen) Townsend, Shailea Manak and Blaise Manak; and six great grandchildren; her sisters: Nancy (Don) Christensen of Walnut and Jeri Lynn (Dennis) Schrader of Lamoille; her brother in law Don Kramer of Sterling; and several generations of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Joanne Kramer and nephew Jim Chapman.

At her request cremation will take place and celebration of her life may take place at a later date.
