Donna Swanson 86, passed away Thursday April 28, 2022 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center of Peoria.

She was born on May 30, 1935 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Walwer) Walker. She married Charles Swanson on March 26, 1960 in Ohio, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Swanson of Ohio; two sons, Jim (Diana) Kinnamon of Dwight, IL, Robert (Linda) Swanson of Mendota, IL; one sister, Pat (Elmer) Barkman of FL; three grandchildren, Angela (Roy) Rodrick of Dwight, IL, Erika Kinnamon of Streator, IL, Brandon (Ashley) Swanson of Peru, IL; five great-grandchildren and one more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Chuck Swanson; one brother, John Walker Jr.; one sister, Sandy Gehler.  

Visitation will take place from 2PM-3:30PM on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Garland Funeral Home of Walnut. The funeral Service will take place at 3:30PM following the visitation at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Ohio, IL.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Ohio, Illinois Fire Department and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
