Edith Bramer Obituary

Edith  V. Bramer, 95, of Walnut, died on Saturday, October, 29, 2022 at Heritage Health Nursing Home of Walnut.

She was born on October 5, 1927  the daughter of Fred and Lillian (Benningfield) Farmer. She married Kenneth A. Bramer on August 7, 1946 at Red Oak Parsonage of Walnut, IL. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2008. Edith enjoyed spending her childhood working on the family farm with her father. Once married, she farmed side by side with her husband for many years.  She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, they took many trips throughout their life together. One of her greatest joys was seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved being a part of the great things they were doing and accomplishing. Edith loved hosting family gatherings and holidays. She had a kind heart and made sure all who came had enjoyed their time spent together. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Tom) Millard of Ohio, IL; her son, Kenneth D. Bramer of Freeport, IL; five grandchildren, Lisa (Christopher) Gadomski, Ryan Bramer, Jeff (Bridgette) Millard, Renee (Colt Adams) Bramer, and Jennifer (Jeremy) Byrne; eleven great grandchildren, Gracie, Tristan, Jasmine, Savanna, Olivia, Elias, Kase, Kenley, Johanna, Julianne, and Jaden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter-in-law, Wanda Bramer; one brother, Eugene Farmer; three sisters, Velma Spohn, Etta Mae Grimes, and Frances Bowen.

A visitation will take place from 10AM-11AM on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Walnut United Methodist Church of Walnut. Funeral Service will take place at 11AM following the visitation at the church with Pastor David Poust, officiating. Burial will follow the funeral services and take place at Walnut Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to Walnut United Methodist Church of Walnut and IHCC Hospice Services of Princeton, IL.
