Eileen Lange Obituary

Eileen M. Lange, age 86, of Walnut, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Allure of Walnut.

Eileen was born October 22, 1938 in Sargeant, MN; the daughter of Carl and Helen (Pooler) Moore.  She married Lester E. Lange on July 21, 1956 in Sargeant, MN.  He preceded her in death on February 23, 2011.

Eileen was employed at the Walnut Café for many years and at Avanti Foods for over 20 years.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut. Her faith and trust in the Lord was remarkable.  Her faith never wavered and only grew stronger even after losing two young sons’ months apart from each other. She trusted in the Lord’s plan, and she is rejoicing with him in heaven now. Eileen enjoyed baking and cooking for her family – she made lunch every Sunday after church for many years for her family to enjoy.  She loved her daily walks around Walnut; gardening in her yard; cleaning her home; watching her favorite game shows; and drinking coffee with her favorite ladies Carolyn and Josephine.  But above all else, her pride and joy were her grandkids and great grandkids.  She loved being able to watch her grandchildren grow up, attending all of their events and activities, going on vacations, and giving them her love and prayers every day.

She is survived by two sons, Curtis Lange of Ohio, IL and Robert (Dorie) Lange of Walnut; one sister, Sharon Pooler of Minnesota; four brothers, Robert Pooler, Donald (Bonnie) Moore, Vernon (Sheila) Moore, and Dennis (Cindy) Pooler all of Minnesota; three grandchildren, Nicholas (Stephanie) Lange of Plainfield, IN; Krystal (Burt) Bickett of Princeton, IL; and Rachel (Riley) Skaggs of Princeton, IL; and eight great grandchildren (Brayden, Braxton, Bryant, Rhett, Reyna, Kennedy, Mason, and Taylor).

She was preceded in death by her beloved sons Joseph and Thomas; her husband; her parents; her sister, Barbara; and her brother, Lewis.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

If desired, friends and family can make memorial contributions to the family - a memorial has been established.
