Eileen D. McKenna

Eileen Denise McKenna, née Stockman, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, in Hennepin, Illinois, at the age of 74. Born on September 18, 1950, Eileen was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Eileen was the cherished wife of Tom McKenna, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. The couple wed on September 25, 1971, and together they raised their daughter, Krysti Hildebrand, née McKenna. Eileen's family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in her role as a homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her loved ones.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Tom; her daughter, Krysti, and son-in-law, Seth; and her treasured grandchildren, Kate, Jaxon, Quinn, and Kortney. She is also survived by her siblings, Nancy (late Bob) Edwards, Darla (Charles) Crain, Martin (Linda) Stockman, and Donna (Donald) Mertes; brother-in-law Jim McKenna, and many nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Rutherford Stockman and Helen Adams; her in-laws, James and Margaret McKenna; and her siblings, Bill (Rose) Stockman, Barb Alterson, Pat (Ron) Jahnz, and Jeanette (Jim) Sullivan.

A woman of simple pleasures, Eileen found joy in solving puzzles and was an avid reader, with a particular fondness for the works of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Saul, and John Grisham. Her love for literature was a testament to her inquisitive mind and imaginative spirit.

In accordance with Eileen's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Her family will honor her memory privately, cherishing the legacy of love and warmth she leaves behind. Eileen will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
