Elizabeth ‘Betty' Hoover, age 84 of Dixon, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at KSB Hospital in Dixon. Betty was born on December 5, 1931 in Princeton, the daughter of Philip and Alberta (Bolbock) Spohn. She retired from KSB after working for many years in the transcription department. Betty was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy (Jose) Castillo of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Louise (Richard) Yob of Milwaukee, WI and Marilyn (Clarence) Blaine of Sublette, IL; one brother, Don (Georgine) Spohn of Ohio, IL; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Marilyn Hoover. A Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon, with the Rev. Antoni Kretowicz officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Ohio, IL. Garland Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
