Elizabeth A. Van Landuit, age 69, of Tampico, Illinois died Tuesday August 4, 2015 at her home. Elizabeth was born October 20, 1945 in Morrison, Illinois, the daughter of Oscar and Mary (Heeren) Pletsch. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Van Landuit on April 11, 1964 in Tampico. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2001. She worked at The Dutch Diner, managed Casey's General Store and drove school bus for Tampico Schools. She was the Tampico township clerk and a high school music booster for many years. Elizabeth taught Catechism classes, was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by four sons, Lawrence J. (Annette) Van Landuit of Sterling, IL, Kevin (Jennifer) Van Landuit of Carl Junction, MO, Thomas (Marilynn) Van Landuit of Fayetteville, NC and Ryan Van Landuit of Tampico, IL; one daughter, Carrie Van Landuit of Tampico, IL; 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Jim Pletsch of Sterling, IL, Gary Pletsch of Pittsburgh, PA, David (Lola) Pletsch of Sterling, IL, and Dan (Vicky) Pletsch of Normal, IL; 3 sisters, Connie DeMaranville of Geneseo, IL, Debbie (Bob) Define of Lake St. Louis, MO, and Diane (Barry) DeJarnatt of Sterling, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lawrence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tampico, with Father Richard Kramer, officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.
