Emily VonHolten Obituary

WALNUT - Emily Ann Von Holten, age 75, of Walnut, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Emily was born on July 28, 1945 in Englewood, Colorado, the daughter of Loren and Valda (Epperson) Briar. She married Bradd Von Holten on November 15, 1967 in Walhalla, South Carolina. She lived her adult life as a mother, wife, and homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband Bradd of Walnut; one daughter, Heather (Todd) Atwell of Ottawa, one son, Sheldon (Laurie Jensen) Von Holten of Walnut; two brothers Larry (Nancy) Briar of Walnut, John (Nancy) Gibbs of Nisswa Minnesota; one sister-in-law Dessa Blondin of Walnut; four grandchildren; Ashley (Chris) Culjan, Austin (Victoria) Von Holten, Allison (Matt Morgan) Von Holten, Montana Von Holten; seven great grandchildren; Grant, Brynlee, Ava, Gage, River, Jace, Easton; numerous nieces and nephews, and her special friends John and Nancy Luft of Princeton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Jim and Ed Blondin.

There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements were completed by the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of Strays, in her memory.
