Eunice M. Thompson, 92, of Walnut, died Monday, September 26, 2016 at Heritage Health Care in Walnut. She was born on April 4, 1924 near Walnut, the daughter of Joseph and Ada (McCall) Wiggim. She married Ralph N. Thompson on February 1, 1945 in Princeton. He died May 4, 2005. She had worked as a beautician and was a home maker. Eunice was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut. Surviving are 5 daughters, Sue Ann (Larry) Frank of Princeton, Patricia (Bruce) Atherton of Walnut, Jane (Pete) Miller of Harmon, Julie Thompson of Walnut, and Lisa (Greg) Heaton of Dixon; 3 sons, Dave (Jill) Thompson of Clear Lake, CA, Gene (Rose) Thompson of Eldina, MN and Thomas (Loretta) Thompson of Braceville, IL; 20 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson Brett Thompson; two granddaughters in law Margaret Atherton and Jill Thompson, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. A memorial has been established to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or Heritage Health.
