Evelyn M. Hansen

          Evelyn M. Hansen, age 96, of Walnut, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Heritage Health in Walnut.

          Evelyn was born February 10, 1925 in Princeton the daughter of Chris and Nettie (Anderson) Giesenhagen.  She married Eugene M. Hansen on February 12, 1947 in Ohio.  He preceded her in death on January 7, 2010.  Evelyn was employed at Albrecht Well Drilling for a number of years.  She was a member of the Ohio United Methodist Church where she was active in the Women’s Organization.  She was a homemaker, loved quilting and arranging flowers.  Evelyn did floral arrangements for the church for 30 years.  She was also a member of the Farm Home Club and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 179.

          She is survived by her daughter, Loretta (Roger) Bachman of Hopedale; her son, Delmar (Colleen) Hansen of Walnut; six grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

          She was preceded in by her husband; parents; three sisters, Frieda Grady, Virginia Underwood and Phyllis Hardy; and twin granddaughters.

          A private funeral will be held at a later date.

          Memorials have been established to Vitas Hospice and Walnut Heritage Health Activity Fund.
