Francis Ronald Benevento

Francis (Ronald) Benevento, age 71, of Walnut, Illinois died Wednesday August 12, 2015 at his home. Ron was born October 5, 1943 in Marlboro, New York the only child of Rocco and Lena (D'Aretta) Benevento. Ron graduated from college with a degree in electronics engineering. He worked in this field for several years and then started in the construction field and then a woodworking shop. He and his wife Roberta opened R&R Woodworking in 1986 and retired in 2010. Ron and Roberta were active members of the Green River Country club for many years, enjoying all golfing activities, parties and cocktails. Come fall, Ron became a full time Deer Hunter. He loved to hunt with deer being his favorite.

He is survived by; his wife Roberta Benevento; one stepdaughter Angie Carl; One daughter Lisa (Steve) Hardy;one son Ronald (Diana) R. Benevento all of Walnut, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and one sister & brother-in-law; Pam & Brian Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites were accorded. There will be no services. There will be a Remembering Ron event at the Green River Country Club in Walnut on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 4 p.m. A memorial has been established.
