Gary was born on November 6, 1981 in Elmhurst, IL, the son of Kathleen and Gary Baumgartner Sr. He worked as a welder during his lifetime. Gary enjoyed fishing, audio systems and was a video gamer . He is survived by his mother Kathleen Baumgartner of Walnut, IL; his father Gary Baumgartner Sr. of Davenport, IA; one son Garrett Baumgartner of Walnut, IL; one daughter Gracie Baumgartner of Jacksonville, IL; one brother Gregory Baumgartner of Galesburg, IL; two sisters Kelly ;(Sam) Anderson of Galesburg, IL; Kim (Eric) Baker of Walnut, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Private Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday January 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut with the Rev. David Menet, officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. A memorial has been established.
