Obituary
Gayle Helgesen, 74 of Walnut, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at her home.
She was born on March 13, 1948 in Chicago, the daughter of Alfred and Inga (Svenson) Helgesen. Gayle was a humble person who enjoyed talking to people. She was a proud supporter of the Military and had studied the constitution often. She loved crafting, flowers, and enjoyed going for breakfast every morning.
Survivors include her children, William Freeman, Jr of Lena, Kevin (Karen) Freeman of Walnut, Michael Freeman of MO, Cheryl (Michael) Strauch of Lena, Shaun (Robert) Palmer of Thomas, OK, Sharleen (Robert) Seas of Stockton, and Carrie (Jay) Stokes of North Pole, AK; daughter-in-law, Gina Freeman of Walnut; one sister, Alana Helgesen of New Bedford; grandchildren, Edward, Joey, Elizabeth, Kyle, Amber, Jennifer, Brent, Alex, Logan, Adam, Aric, Morgan, Ethan, Ellie, Jaret, Jakob, Cara, Kyren, Katelin, and Sienna; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Craig Freeman; her twin sister, Gwen Felske; two brothers, Kyren Helgesen and Roswald Helgesen.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery in New Bedford with Reverend Michael Freeman officiating.
