Genevieve E. Walters

Genevieve E. Walters, 94, of Walnut, died on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Allure of Walnut.

Genevieve was born August 6, 1930, in Princeton, the daughter of Gean and Ruth (Sarver) Middleton. She married Dean Walters on December 16, 1950, in Walnut. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2012.

Survivors include two daughters, Glenda (Kent) Kepner, of Racine, WI, and Sheila Roberts, of Cheyenne, WY; one son, Randall Walters, of Tampico; four sisters, Charlotte (Bruce) VonHolten, of Walnut, Lois Swanson, of New Bedford, Phyllis (Darrel) Kump, of Oregon, and Anita (Kent) Carpenter, of Manlius; two brothers, Jack Middleton, of Mansfield, OH, and James (Ann) Middleton, of Walnut; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dean; two sisters, Betty Jensen, Rita Hallman; one brother, Joe Middleton; daughter-in-law, Janet Walters; and granddaughter Teresa Walters.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Monday, July 14, 2025, at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. Funeral service will follow at 11:00am, with Reverend David Poust officiating. Burial will conclude at Walnut Cemetery.
