Gussie Laverne Kranov, Jr.

Gussie Laverne Kranov, Jr., age 90, of Walnut, died Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Allure of Walnut.

          Laverne was born March 24, 1935 in Sublette, IL, the son of Gussie Laverne, Sr. and Inez (Bramer) Kranov.  He married Charlene Rudiger on December 4, 1955 in Walnut.  She preceded him in death on November 22, 1993.  He married Audrey Trabelot on June 5, 1996 in Princeton.  Laverne was a lifelong farmer in the Walnut area and enjoyed golfing.

          He is survived by his wife, Audrey Kranov of Walnut; his daughter, Renee (Jerry) Jepsen of Bella Vista, AR; his son, Bruce Kranov of Walnut; and two granddaughters, Ashley (Ryan) Marmet of Bella Vista, AR and Jennifer Kranov of Sterling.

          He was preceded in death by his first wife and his parents.

          A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Walnut Cemetery with Pastor David Poust of the Walnut United Methodist Church officiating.
