Harold Lee Stone

MENDOTA - Harold Lee Stone, age 98, died Friday, November 17, 2023 at Allure of Mendota.

            Harold was born on February 20, 1925 in Walnut the son of Harold F. and Peraolee L. (Raynor) Stone.  He married Lila J. Damon on November 19, 1955 in Van Orin.  She died on December 17, 2012.  Harold was employed as a Depot Agent with Burlington Northern Illinois Railroad for many years as well as a Telegraph Operator. He was a past Masonic Chaplin with the Masonic Lodge in Walnut.

            He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wilbur Stone; one sister, Norma Wise.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Van Orin Repose Cemetery with Reverend William Clark of OSF Hospice            officiating.  Arrangements were completed by the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
