Henry J. Kuhnert

Henry Joseph Kuhnert was born November 12, 1933 in Princeton, Illinois.  He died on January 17, 2024 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was the son of Henry and Jane Kuhnert. He was preceded in death by his wife Leah Houghton.

Henry graduated from Walnut Community High School and served in the U.S. Army. After his service, he moved to New Jersey and worked in the office of a trucking firm.  While in New Jersey he met his wife Leah - they later moved to Jacksonville, Florida and Henry worked as a night guard at various locations.

Henry was brother to Kenneth (deceased), Dale (Linda-deceased), Ray (Carol), sisters Mary and Arlene Ellegood.  He is survived by cousins, many nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Red Oak Cemetery after his sister, Mary’s, funeral which starts at Noon at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.
