Ida Mary (Chriest) Adams, 95, of Tampico, died on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Heritage Manor in Walnut, IL. Ida was born on May 31, 1926 in Tampico, IL, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Kilroy) Chriest. She married Charles W. Adams Jr on September 4, 1948. He predeceased her on November 3, 2013. Ida was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tampico.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Adams Jr of Davenport, IA, Paul (Nona) Adams, and Jeff (Kathy) Adams of Tampico, IL; two daughters, Joyce Spencer of Walnut, IL, and Patricia (Keith) Buerklin of Robinson, IL; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Charles Jr, Bill, and Lester; three sisters, Wilma, Nellie, and Darlene; and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Erica Adams.

In honor of Ida’s wishes, her body was donated to medical science. Cremation rites will be accorded following her gift of study. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
