James L. Donovan, age 62, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. James was born on February 10, 1956 at Mendota Hospital, the son of Paul and Dolores (Lampe) Donovan. He married Dixie Stocking on November 25, 1981. Out of high school, Jim worked at Culligan Water in Wyanet and then for LCN Door Closers in Princeton for 23 years. He retired from Princeton Ready Mix. Survivors include his wife, Dixie; two children, Jim Skaggs of Walnut and Brenda Gomez of Spring Valley; seven grandchildren, Mike (Robin) Epperson, Jason (Bobbi) Skaggs, James Skaggs III, Christopher Mongan, Brittany Facemire, Andrew O'Toole and Tiffaney Vanous; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Donovan of Westmont; one brother, Bernard (Sara) Donovan of Walnut and one nephew, Paul Donovan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one great granddaughter, Lacie. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Thomas Shaw, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ohio. Memorials contributions may be made in his memory.
