Jeffrey T. Loftus

                OHIO – Jeff T. Loftus, age 55, died Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

            Jeff was born on November 26, 1968 at Camp Lejeune, NC the son of James T and Mary Jean (Henneberry) Loftus.  He married Carol S. Cass on April 22, 1989 in Ohio.  Jeff owned and operated Green River Auto Sales in Ohio for the past 20 years.  He was a kid at heart, could fix anything, and was always helping others. He enjoyed playing guitar with his brothers, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his grandkids. 

            Survivors include, his wife, Carol of Ohio; one daughter, Christi (Brandon) Forristall of Princeton, Iowa; two grandchildren, Addison & Hunter Forristall of Princeton, Iowa; his mother, Mary Jean Loftus of Princeton; ten siblings, Julie (Brian) Kunkle of Elburn, Jill (Jerry) Nielsen of Magnolia, Joe (Lucy) Loftus of Morton, John (Kelly) Loftus of Princeton, Jay (Julie) Loftus of Princeton, Jeremy (Heather) Loftus of Ohio, Judd (Trish) Loftus of Princeton, Jessica (Mike) Nelson of Marion, Iowa, Justin (Basia) Loftus of Chicago and David Loftus of Orlando, Florida.

            He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Loftus; one brother, James R. Loftus; sister-in-law, Sandra Wrolson Loftus.

            A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 31, 2024 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton with Monsignor James Kruse officiating.  Immediately following Mass, a celebration of life will be held at Chapel Hill Golf Club in Princeton.  There will be a golf outing for Jeff at 5:00 PM at the course.  Arrangements were completed by the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.

            In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to assist with Jeff's medical bills.
