Jerald "Judd" W. Doty

Jerald “Judd” W. Doty, 95, of Tampico, died on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his home.

Judd was born April 19, 1930, in Gold Township, Bureau County, the son of John “Henry” and Anna (Taets) Doty. He was a proud veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War. He married JoAnn VanDeVelde on September 23, 1950, in Prophetstown. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2024. Judd was a lifelong farmer, with a love for John Deere tractors.

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela (Allen) Alsup, of Warrensburg; one son, Randy (Lynn) Doty, of Sugar Hill, GA; daughter-in-law, Connie Doty, of Tampico; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Judd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Mark Doty; and two brothers, Bob and Bill Doty.

Visitation will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tampico. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am, with Reverend Slawomir Zimodro officiating. Burial will conclude at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Tampico.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Tampico Volunteer Fire Department.
