Jeremy G. "Chet" Forward, age 40 of Tampico, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

Chet was born on October 3, 1976 in Princeton, the son of Jeffrey Forward and Elaine (Gustafson) Forward. He graduated from Tampico High School, Class of 1995. Chet lived in Tampico all his life. He farmed and enjoyed raising cattle. He ran his own trucking company, Jeremy Forward Trucking, for the past ten years.

He is survived by his mother, Elaine Forward of Sterling; his girlfriend, Ryan DeBrock of Tampico; three sisters, Wendy (Chris) Andersen of Aurora, Stephanie (Greg) Wetzell of Prophetstown and Jennifer Forward of Rock Falls; one brother, David (Brandy) Forward of Simsbury, CT; maternal grandmother, Shirley Forward; Ryan's mother, Billi DeBrock of Wyanet; Ryan's sister, Nikki Johnson of Manlius; nieces and nephews, Katie and Kody Wetzell, Weston and Natalie Forward, Haley and Claire Andersen, Logan and Leigha Johnson and Rylan Schiedel; many aunts, uncles and cousins and he and Ryan's dog, Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandfather, George Forward, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Gustafson.

Visitation will be Monday, February 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, Rosary will be recited at 3:45 P.M. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tampico with Reverend Richard Russo, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Tampico.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yorktown and Tampico Fire Department.
