Jeremy Lynn Hostetler

Jeremy Lynn Hostetler, son of Nelson and Lynette Hostetler was born on July 17, 1993 at Princeton, IL.

He peacefully passed away at his home near Tampico, IL on Oct. 22, 2022 with his parents and the family gathered around him, at the age of 29 years, 3 months, and 5 days. He leaves to mourn his departure his sorrowing parents, 3 brothers: Austin and wife Gwen, Cody and wife Denise, and Darin 18, of the home; 5 sisters: Jessica and husband Raylan Miller, Beverly and husband Nelson Kropf, Staci and husband Leland Hostetler, Alaina 14, and Alyssa 12, of the home; 8 nephews: Jordan, Tyrelle, Corbyn, Brock, Travett, Chase, Jackson, and Dawson; 2 nieces: Jolyn and Alexa.  Also, his grandma Barbara Hostetler; 7 uncles; 10 aunts and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Mary Lou Hostetler and grandpa  Wayne Hostetler; one uncle Dale Hostetler, one aunt Susie Hostetler, and 7 cousins. 

Jeremy was one of God’s special children requiring complete care. His mother, with loving dedication, took care of his many needs these 29 years.  His pop, brothers, and sisters tenderly sharing in his care.  His special smile would fill our hearts with love. After a ‘not so good’ day he would brighten up when pop came home and used his own special touch. We remember his sweet giggles as he watched his nieces and nephews at play. How they loved to give him a drink with his sippy cup! 

Jeremy endured several surgeries and hospital stays. Pop & mom did all they could for his health and comforts, recently taking him to Mexico for treatment and he responded quite well for a few months. Our loss is his gain. His twisted body is now made perfect, and he is safe in Jesus’ care. He will be greatly missed by all in the home.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 25, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite School, Tampico. The funeral will follow on Wednesday at 10 AM at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite Church. Burial will conclude at the cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.
