Josephine M. Coers, age 91, of Tampico, IL died Friday February 19, 2016 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. She was born on November 29, 1924 at Mile Nine Elevator House the daughter of Garnet and Doris (Howland) Price. She was united in marriage to Russell Coers Sr. on September 2, 1944 in Rock Falls, Illlinois. Josephine was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Russell Coers of Tampico, IL; two sons Russell Coers Jr. of Tampico; Lester F. (Sandy) Coers of Savanna; three daughters Judith Cox of Rock Falls; Ann (John) Schlosser of Polo, Donna (Richard) Schlosser of Tampico; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchild and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Gary Coers, one niece Jaylee and one nephew Ricky Wayne. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico with the Rev. Karl Kaiser of The Tampico Baptist Church, pastor officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
