Judy Ann Skulemowski

MENDOTA – Judy Ann Skulemowski, age 82 died peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Allure of Mendota.

  Judy was born on January 28, 1942 in Long Reach, WV.  She is preceded  in death by many beloved relatives including her parents Robert and Lilly Ann (nee Wilson) Raper; and husband  Roman Skulemowski who were married on February 25, 1961 in Chicago, IL. 

Judy and Ray were Walnut residents for many years before enjoying her twilight years at Heritage Woods of Ottawa. As an avid reader she has read hundreds of books in her lifetime with romance and sci-fi being her favorites.  She was highly sought after for her original roller skating costume designs and was an accomplished seamstress. Her vices included loving cats, YouTube videos and Coca-Cola just a little too much.  

Judy is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Jeff Schneider) Lamont, Cristina (Mark) Nilson, Rebecca Fritz and step-children Debi Teichman, Cynthia (Wayne) Cupal, Randall (Joyce) Skulemowski and many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, IL.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at the Walnut Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to her beloved charity St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
