Larry R. Meyer, 69 of rural Harmon died Wednesday August 7, 2024 at his home.
He was born on April 7, 1955 in Princeton, the son of Robert Lavern and Marian F. (Mau) Meyer. Larry was a 1973 graduate of Walnut High School. He married Sandra S. Rollo on May 29, 1976 at the Walnut United Methodist Church. Larry had farmed and had also driven a truck. In his youth he attained the Eagle Scout Badge. He had previously been active at the Walnut United Methodist Church where he had sung in the choir and was a youth group leader. He had most recently been a member of the Dixon Bethel Church. Larry was active in the former Walnut Community Theater. He enjoyed boating and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy; their son Eric (Heather) Meyer of Princeton; their daughters: Tracy (Jeff) Cain of Philo, IL and Cari (Warne) Riker of Springhill, TN; his grandchildren: Caitlin, Natalie, Ethan, Olivia, Harper, Weston, Cameron and Caden; his sister Jan (Richard) Denney of Sussex, WI; and his nephews: Ryan and Kyle Denney.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Rita Meyer in 1981.
There will be no public services planned. Private family gathering will take place.
