Mabel L. Wolfe Mabel L. Wolfe, age 85, of Walnut, died Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Mabel was born November 9, 1932 in Tampico, IL the daughter of Leon and Hazel (Kepner) Palmer. She married Claude Wolfe on July 20, 1952 in Walnut. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2005. Mabel was employed as a housekeeper at Walnut Manor for several years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Walnut and enjoyed flower gardening, making baby quilts, baking and sewing. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca (George F.) Cantrell of Dixon and Emily (Kevin) Ross of Iowa; two brothers, Stanley (Jenny) Wolfe of Spanaway, WA and Kenneth Wolfe of Walnut; one daughter-in-law, Rita Wolfe of Princeton; three brothers, Donny Palmer of IL, Leland Palmer of Mt. Morris and Edgar Palmer of Wyanet; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and also many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one daughter, Treva Wolfe at birth; one son, William Wolfe; and one sister. Cremation rites will be accorded. There are no services.
