Marilyn A. Hoover, age 63, of Sterling, IL. died Friday, April 15, 2016 at Sterling Pavilion in Sterling. Marilyn was born on June 9, 1952 the daughter of Herbert and Elizabeth A. (Spohn) Hoover. She is a member of Abiding Word Church of Sterling and was involved in church ministry. She is survived by her mother Betty Hoover of Dixon, IL; one sister Nancy (Jose) Castillo of Dallas, TX; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Abiding Word Church in Sterling, IL, with Rev. Scott Porter, Pastor, officiating. A time of sharing will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church before the service. A memorial has been established. Garland Funeral Home in Walnut is in charge of arrangements.
