Marjorie LuRene Moodie Schultz, age 95, of Rockford, IL and formerly of Ohio, IL died at Wesley Willows Nursing Home in Rockford on February 27, 2016. Marjorie was born at home in Wyanet, IL on December 27, 1920 to Herbert A. and Barbara Edith (Kolp) Moodie. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Erwin Schultz on July 13, 1939 in Burlington IA. They resided in Ohio, IL where LeRoy farmed and shared a trucking business with his brother. Marjorie kept the books for the farm operation and volunteered at church and in the community sharing God's love daily. Marjorie was also highly energetic, learning to swim at age 70 and riding an Alpine slide down a Colorado mountain at 75 years with her sister who was 87. She had an amazing love for her family and loved ones. Everyone that ever knew her experienced or felt her Christianity, through the love she so openly shared with everyone she knew, whether family, friend or anyone she crossed paths with. Her family appreciates the loving care of the Wesley Willows staff and Visiting Nurses Hospice. She is survived by two sons Richard (Judy) Schultz, James LaVerne (Sharon) Schultz; 5 grandchildren Darcy (Michael) Wilson, Deanna (Kyle) Murray, Brian Szuda, Mark Szuda and Spencer (Stacey) Szuda; 8 great grandchildren Jakob and Abbey Wilson, Elaina and Kyra Murray, and Kristin, Austin, Brayden, and Cody Szuda. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Keith Lowell, one sister Berniece Brooks and one brother Lee Laverne Moodie. Celebrations of life services will be held on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home 14733 IL Hwy 92 Walnut, IL and at 4p.m. on Saturday March 12, 2016 at Christ United Methodist Church, corner of Alpine Road and Highcrest Road in Rockford. A time of sharing will be held Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home and 3:30 to 4 p.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church in Rockford. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church 4509 Highcrest Road Rockford, IL, Wesley Willows Good Samaritan Endowment Fund 4141 N.
