Marlena Davis

Marlena Davis, also known as Lani, Bug and Lani Bug to those closest to her, passed away unexpectedly on February 4th, 2022 at 29 years of age.

Marlena was born July 20th, 1992 in Dixon, IL and She grew up in Ohio, IL. She loved playing video games, Star Trek, swinging at the park, sitting by a warm fire with family and friends and being a mother to her children. Marlena was a very happy person who loved life, was always smiling and enjoyed helping others whenever asked.

Marlena was preceded in death by three of her children, Tayla Higgins, Diana Higgins, and Jamie Higgins, her father, William Goldwire, and her mother, Pamela Davis.

She is survived by her two children, Natasha Higgins and Sky Higgins; her boyfriend, Allen Higgins; her siblings, Tasha Arevalo, Shambreanna Limond, Allen Davis, Billy Goldwire, Josh Davis, Tammie Evans, Powers Goldwire, Mia Goldwire, Fai Goldwire; her aunts, Patricia Sinkula and Roberta Davis, Kathy Beezley, and Carmen Carter;  uncles, Bill Carter and Joseph Sinkula; her cousins, Bethany Galindo, Justin Sinkula, Ivan Young, Stephanie Davis, Rebekah DeShazo, Cadel Carter; and countless nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites have been accorded with the Garland Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, IL.

In lieu of flowers a memorial is established in her memory.
