Mary Ann (Wright) Lehn, age 87, of Walnut, formerly of Ohio, passed away on August 16, 2024 at Allure of Walnut. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
Mary Ann was born on October 7, 1936 in Princeton, IL, to Raymond and Laura (Sisson) Wright. She married Eugene K. Lehn on June 4, 1954 in Hollowayville, IL. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2016. They were married for 62 years.
She attended DePue grade and high schools graduating in 1954. A housewife in her younger years, she later retired from the Van Orin Bank with 27 years of service. An active member of the Ohio Methodist Church until its closing, then attending Red Oak UMC. She served on the Ohio Library Board. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her favorite pastimes were reading, embroidering, canning vegetables, and traveling with Gene.
She is survived by her four children, Terry (Marlene) Lehn of Ohio, Sharon (Dale Hasse) Quest of Quakertown, PA, Barb (Paul) Narez of Barnhart, MO, and Carla (Mark) Shewmon of Poplar Grove, IL; eight grandchildren, Aaron (Megan) Lehn, Adam (Carla) Quest, Danielle Shewmon, Brittany (Andy) Austin, Dan (Ana) DeBrock, Jenna (Ben) Pitchford, Dion Narez, and Sara (Antonio) DeBrock; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Marge Lehn; one brother-in-law, Frank Montez; and one special friend, Keirsten (Ms. K) Cassidy.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; sister, Helen (Bonnie) Soberalski; twin sister, Martha Montez; and grandson, Nick Narez.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Ohio Public Library or Ohio Union Cemetery.
