Mildred "Millie" M.Valt, age 96, of Pillager, MN and formerly of Walnut died Saturday July 1, 2017 at Riverside Assisted Living. Mildred was born on January 15, 1921 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Frank and Leona (Bontjes) Kloth. She was united in marriage to Victor V. Valt on November 9, 1939 in Burlington, IA. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1986. Mildred and Victor owned and operated the Sunset Motel in Walnut. She is survived by two daughters Edna (Jack) Lair of Motley, MN, Charlene Covill of Walnut, IL; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son John. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday July 8th at 3 p.m. at the Walnut Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Moore, pastor of the First Christian Church of Walnut officiating. There will be no visitation. A memorial has been established in her memory.
