Nancy Lee (Andersen) Christensen passed away in her home at 101 Clark Street, Walnut, on May 25, 2016. Nancy Lee was born the second daughter to Fern Amelia (Peach) and Harvey Andersen of rural Walnut. She was marred to Richard A. Christensen on October 7, 1956, at the Walnut First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her brother Harold Lewis ‘Tim' Andersen. Nancy enjoyed a 24-year career in banking and was devoted to her community, but enjoyed her family more than anything. Nancy was blessed with four loving daughters, Laurel Christensen and Gerald Henderson of Huntington Beach, CA; Katherine (Daniel) Johnson of Malden, IL; Julia Christensen and Kevin Hufnagel of Walnut, IL; Deborah (Doug) Davis of Castle Rock, CO; four incredible granddaughters, Stephaney, Stacey, Andrea and Victoria one gorgeous great- granddaughter, Celestia; and three amazing great-grandsons, Bruce, Dominic, and Daniel; all of whom will miss her terribly. Survivors include four sisters, Betty Sissel of Princeton, Janice Hansen of Princeton, Karen (Bill) Lind of Walnut, Mary (Larry) Bartman of Ottawa, and one sister-in-law, Betty (Hardy) Andersen of Ohio. Services will be held at Garland Funeral Home, Walnut, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28, with visitation prior, from 9 until 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Walnut cemetery friends and family welcome. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
