Nancy Helen Shrock, daughter of the late William and Edna (Swartzentruber) Shrock, was born on December 17, 1949 in Morrison, IL. She passed away at her home on the evening of March 3, 2025 at the age of 75 years, 2 months, 14 days, seemingly from cardiac arrest.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in her youth and was baptized upon the confession of her faith. She was ameber of Lakeview Amish Mennonite Church, beingfaithful until her death.
She is survived by 3 brothers: Clifford (Marie) of Bellevue, IA, Earl (Leona) of Deer Grove, Stanley (Carolyn) of Bird in Hand, PA; 2 sisters: Bertha Headings of Blue River, WI and Lenora Hostetler of Deer Grove; sister in law Leola Shrock of Middletown, MO; 13 nephews, 18 nieces and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna; brother Larry; infant sister Mariam Jean; 2 nieces, Cynthia Jean and Mary Andrea; brother in laws Clarence Headings and H.W. Hostetler.
Nancy lived on the home in Tampico for most of her life. Gardening was a big part of life for many years until she was no longer able. She loved flowers and often picked bouquets for the table. She enjoyed when family came to visit and always thanked them for coming. It was a joy for her to give gifts to her family, especially the children. Her health was declining over the last couple several years and she struggled with heart related issues.
As a family we wish to thank everyone for their prayers, support and food through this time.
Visitation will be Friday March 7, 2025 from2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite School, rural Tampico. The funeral will follow on Saturday at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite Church. Burial will conclude at the church cemetery.
