Richard E. Bruder, age 71, of Sterling, Illinois died Tuesday March 29, 2016 at his home. Richard was born on July 11, 1944 in Sterling, Illinois, the son of Lawrence and Mary M. (Rosene) Bruder. He was united in marriage to Barbara Singshem on June 7, 1964 in Sterling, Illinois. Richard served in the United States Air Force National Guard during the Vietnam War. He was a diesel mechanic for Jefferson County Road and Bridge in Golden, Colorado. He enjoyed Nascar Racing. He is survived by his wife Barbara Bruder of Sterling, Illinois; one daughter Faith Honeyman of Golden, Colorado; one son Richard W.(Danita) Bruder of Golden, Colorado; 5 grandchildren; 1 one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Larry. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Tampico Memorial Cemetery in Tampico.
