Atkinson- Ritchie A. Jensen, 61, of Atkinson, died on Wednesday morning, August 30, 2017 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. He was born December 31, 1955 in Princeton to Harley and Betty (Hotchkiss) Jensen. He married Debra Sawyers on June 2, 1973 in Walnut. Ritchie was an operations specialist for Bituminous Insurance for 15 years. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and also enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and attending dirt track stock car racing at various different tracks. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Deb, of Atkinson; 2 sons, Christopher (Jessica) Jensen of Burrton, Kansas and Ritchie (Amber) Jensen of Villa Grove; his mother, Betty, of Mineral; his step-mother, Karen Jensen of Walnut; brothers, Donald Hotchkiss of Mineral, Jerry Jensen of Princeton and Bobby Stern of Walnut; and 3 grandchildren, Brock, Addie and Alex Jensen. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Terry. Visitation will be from 1-3 PM on Sunday, September 3 at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. The funeral will be at 10 AM Monday, September 4 at First Christian Church in Walnut with Pastor Brian Moore, officiating. Cremation rites will follow the services.
