Robert F. Linden Robert F. Linden, age 94, of Arkansas, formerly of Walnut, died Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Liberty Village in Princeton. Robert was born May 26, 1923 in Tiskilwa the son of Elmer and Walborg (Rosenquist) Linden. He served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Maury. Robert married Helen Eyer in 1946 in Ohio, IL. She preceded him in death on May 7, 1992. He later married Dorothy Jensen in 1993 in Rock Falls. She preceded him in death in 2007. Robert was a farmer in the Walnut area and was a member of the American Legion Post 0344 and the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include two sons, Tom Linden of Walnut and Gary Linden of Seattle, WA; four step children, Kendall Jensen of Sheffield, Sandy (Roman) Romanowski of Olathe, KS, Robin (Keith) Stithem of Dixon and Kerry (Cindy) Jensen of Hoffman Estates; one sister, Trudy Elmblad of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, Tracy (Mark) Ferrell of Princeton and Nicole Forward of Wyanet; and five great grandchildren, Samantha, Ericka, Whitney, Linden and Brook. He was preceded in death by both wives; his parents; and two brothers, Art Linden and Richard Linden. Visitation will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 10:00 AM to noon at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. Funeral services will be Saturday at noon at the funeral home with Reverend Mark Harkness of the Walnut United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
